laid down by Robert Baden-Powell in 1907. The traditional
scouting principles promote good citizenship and wholesome
physical, mental and spiritual development; and training in
habits of observation, discipline, self-reliance, loyalty, altruism
and other useful skills. The Baden-Powell scouting
association is recognised by the Dept of Education and is a
registered education charity. Traditional scouts are supported
by education in principles of life.
